Introduction
Fine Blanking group of companies situated in Devland, close to the N1 Highway, South of Johannesburg, South Africa. It consists of Fine Blanking (PTY) Ltd; Fine Blanking International (PTY) Ltd; Lock & Component Manufacturers (PTY) Ltd and Quantum Leap Investments 462 (PTY) Ltd trading as Tri Axis Engineering.
Within the group a wide spectrum of general engineering is incorporated such as fineblanking and conventional metal pressings, CNC turning & machining as well as industrial lock manufacturing.
These processes are supported by well equipped Design & Toolroom and welding facilities.
Founded in 1971, by the brothers Schriks, as a natural progression from the existing company DIS Manufacturing and Engineering (PTY) Ltd., the company specialises in manufacturing of metal components for various engineering industries and was well known for its versatility and problem solving capabilities.
As a sub supplier to the local automotive and associated industries, Fine Blanking (PTY) Ltd. has developed into a strong force in the industry and manufactures highly accurate and fineblanked parts, satisfying the most stringent requirements.
In January 2006, Fine Blanking (Pty) Ltd had a successful Management Buy-Out (MBO) and is operating under the management of Mrs. Hester Gyzen (Financial Director) and Mr. Jake van der Kolk (Managing Director). Both members have been collectively 35 years with Fine Blanking (Pty) Ltd. and have adopted a customer focus approach with the aim to enhance the overall effectiveness of the operation.
In line with our strategy of diversification the COBB manufacturing plant was incorporated into our business in January 2008 to expand our capability to include deep drawing, forming and welding.
During January 2009 Tri-Axis Engineering was a welcome addition to further our CNC manufacturing capabilities.
