Conventional Blanking
In contrast to Fineblanking, these are predominantly single action presses which effectively force a component out of the material. This method compromises flatness & cutting edge of the blank component, which becomes more prominent on thicker materials. Using this method of blanking, up to 70% of the cut edge may be sheared away, leaving ragged edges. This may be reduced in various secondary stage methods (including shaving) but these normally have adverse implications in terms of tool cost, design & press ability.
Historically, our conventional blanking (Eccentrics department) has been used mainly supporting the Fineblanking production, however, in recent years, we have developed this section in its own right.
We have several eccentric presses ranging up to 250t, and 550t Hydraulic presses for forming, which effectively provides us with a wide range of production capabilities.
